About the Event

A Celebration of Zinfandel on Amador County’s First Wine Trail!

Amador County is home to some of the oldest and best Zinfandel vines in the country and many of us here on Steiner Road use these vines to produce exquisite Zinfandel wines. Spring into Zin is a true celebration of this varietal that has a storied history in Amador County.

During the event, you will have the opportunity to explore the Steiner Road wineries and discover the finesse, elegance, history, and diversity of our unique terroir on Amador County’s First Wine Trail. The wineries of Steiner Road will be showcasing a selection of their wines with a focus on Zinfandel. Selections will range from old vines, to blends, current releases, and barrel tastings that will be perfectly paired with unique small food bites or other special offerings.

You will be able to visit up to five of the eight following participating wineries during the event.

Participating Start On Steiner Wineries:

Bella Grace Vineyards - Bella Grace’s Chef Rob will prepare two offerings to complement our zinfandels and zin blends:  Penne pasta with a rich marinara sauce and balsamic glazed chargrilled steak with grilled Halloumi cheese. Enjoy Bella Grace hospitality, our panoramic views, a game of ping pong and discounts on award-winning wines.

Deaver Vineyards - Deaver will begin your tasting with a refreshing Sparkling Wine paired with a pastry bite then move into two estate produced Zinfandel's matched with Polpette alla Napoletana and ending with our Zinfandel Port accompanied by a chocolate treat.

Dobra Zemlja Winery - Join us at Dobra Zemlja Winery (meaning ‘good earth’ in Croatian) as we celebrate all things Zinfandel in Amador County’s first wine cave! We will be pairing a select flight of our ‘Big Amador Reds, No Lightweights’ with our famous Dressed Up Mozzarella and other seasonally inspired mali (‘little’) bites. Guests will also enjoy a fun and educational barrel tasting experience on the Croatian origins of the Zinfandel grape and fantastic wine specials.

Driven Cellars - Wine lovers, start your engines at DRIVEN Cellars!  Start off by meeting DRIVEN's new owners: Bob and Desa! Then, enjoy a complimentary glass of Blanc de Blanc California Sparking Wine, followed by tastings of some of our finest red varietals - including our delicious 2020 Zinfandel!  Then, pair our wines with a mouthwatering assortment of gourmet goodies.  End your visit with a tour of our unique property - taking in one of the best views of Amador County vineyards- the Sierra Nevada range - and an eclectic collection of antique, collectable and vintage cars!

Iron Hub Winery - Come celebrate Zinfandel at Iron Hub Winery! Experience spectacular Sierra views from our spacious patio. Enjoy delicious, hearty fare to complement our rich Zinfandels. We are excited to offer Inner Circle Club member status and a discount on wine purchases for the event.

Linsteadt Family Winery - Come visit Linsteadt Family Winery, see our new tasting room and patio, and enjoy what we feel is the best pairing with Zinfandel: barbecued pork. 

Rombauer Vineyards - Join us to celebrate Spring at Rombauer Vineyards. Indulge in a delicious food pairing from the team at Taste Restaurant paired with our feature wine, El Dorado Zinfandel! We will also pour several other wines for you to enjoy on our beautiful, shaded patio with our musical talent, The Jason Weeks Duo. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Shenandoah Vineyards - Spring into Zin with Shenandoah Vineyards as we serve some of our award winning Zinfandels alongside delicious Italian appetizers.
